Nursing as a profession faces progressive evolution from time to time. The ongoing trends in both nursing and care are caused by many factors: implementation of evidence-based nursing, movement to informatics, growth in aging population and shortages of nursing. In the United States, the “Baby Boomers” are estimated to be 26% of the total population. As this generation increases, so does that of the people aging and this eventually increases complexities when it comes to nursing issues. Therefore, nurses are prompted to adapt to the environment of health as the changes occur alongside the growth of population.
